SUMMERFIELD, N.C. — A rezoning request covering roughly 106 acres in Summerfield is scheduled for a Town Council public hearing Tuesday evening.
According to the Town of Summerfield, the application seeks to rezone approximately 106.1 acres at 7600 Millbrook Road from Agricultural (AG) to Residential (RS). The request also includes property at 7604 Sarah Marie Drive, which would move from the RS-30 Legacy designation to Residential (RS).
The properties are identified by Guilford County parcel numbers 146607 and 146638. Summerfield says its typical rezoning process includes a public information meeting, a Planning Board public hearing and recommendation, followed by a Town Council public hearing and final decision.
Tuesday’s hearing begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Summerfield Community Center, 5404 Centerfield Road. Residents may attend to speak in favor of, against or neutrally about the request.
The Town’s planning department has additional case information available for residents who want to review the proposal before the meeting.
