Free BikeSafe Rider Skills Day Set for Aug. 21 in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Motorcyclists in the Triad have a free opportunity next week to sharpen their riding and safety skills.

A BikeSafe-NC Rider Skills Day is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 21 in Winston-Salem. The program is designed to assess riders' current skills and provide practical advice aimed at safer motorcycle riding.

According to the City of Winston-Salem, the free class includes classroom instruction, a short ride, lunch and a longer ride later in the day. Topics include professional riding techniques, motorcycle control, collision-causation factors and security.

The city lists additional Winston-Salem Rider Skills Days for Sept. 18, Oct. 16 and Nov. 13.
