App State Launches Free Yosef’s Yard Party Pregame Fan Zone Sept. 5

BOONE, N.C. — App State is adding a new free pregame gathering for football fans this fall, with Yosef’s Yard Party scheduled to debut before the Sept. 5 season opener against Maine.

The family-friendly fan zone will be located on the residence hall lawn across Jack Branch Drive from Kidd Brewer Stadium. For Saturday home games, it will open three hours before kickoff and close 15 minutes before the game.

App State says the area will include yard games, an inflatable bounce house, music, appearances by Yosef, cheerleaders and the Marching Mountaineers, plus merchandise, food trucks, photo opportunities and free posters.

For the Sept. 5 opener, the school plans free ice cream bars, student-athlete autographs from 1:30-3 p.m., live music from App State alum Adam Church and an invitation for fans to join the football team on the field after the game.

The Yard Party will be offered for Saturday home games this season, but not for the Thursday, Oct. 22 game against James Madison.
