App State Men’s Basketball Sets 18-Game Sun Belt Slate for 2026-27

BOONE, N.C. — App State men’s basketball has its Sun Belt roadmap for the 2026-27 season, with an 18-game conference schedule that includes nine dates at Holmes Convocation Center.

The Mountaineers open league play Dec. 19 at new Sun Belt member Louisiana Tech. Their conference home opener comes on New Year’s Eve against Troy, followed by South Alabama on Jan. 2. Other Boone dates include Georgia State, Coastal Carolina, Old Dominion, Southern Miss, Georgia Southern, Marshall and James Madison.

App State enters the season with a strong recent conference track record under Dustin Kerns. The Mountaineers are 76-49 in Sun Belt play over his seven seasons, have finished among the league’s top two teams three times and have posted double-digit conference wins in three straight seasons.

The regular-season conference finale is set for Feb. 26 at home against James Madison. App State says the complete 2026-27 schedule, including remaining nonconference details and game times, will be announced later.
