Mountaineer Talk Returns Sept. 1 With Dowell Loggains and App State Players

BOONE, N.C. — App State’s weekly Mountaineer Talk radio show returns Tuesday, Sept. 1, giving Mountaineer fans another regular source for football news ahead of the Sept. 5 opener against Maine.

The 2026-27 version of the show will air Tuesdays from 7-8 p.m. and will again originate live from Rivers Street Ale House in Boone. Host Adam Witten will be joined each week by head coach Dowell Loggains and App State football players.

Fans can hear the show on App State Sports Network radio affiliates and online through AppStateSports.com. App State also plans live video streams on the football program’s Facebook page and the athletics department’s YouTube channel.

Dates and times can shift during weeks when App State plays on Thursday or Friday. The opening show arrives four days before the Mountaineers host Maine at Kidd Brewer Stadium at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 5.
