Winston-Salem Utility Work Brings Weekday Street Closures Through Aug. 28

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Drivers in parts of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County should plan for temporary weekday street closures this week as water improvements and sewer rehabilitation work continues.

Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Utilities says contractors are closing affected streets to through traffic from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning Monday, Aug. 24, through Friday, Aug. 28. The city’s current alert lists Buena Vista among the impacted areas and advises motorists to account for the work when traveling through active project zones.

The closures are tied to ongoing utility infrastructure work. Drivers should use alternate routes where needed and watch for posted signs and crews near work areas.
