WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Nine people are facing charges after a North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement investigation into complaints about activity at a Winston-Salem nightclub, according to the North Carolina Department of Public Safety.
ALE says the investigation focused on Maximum Private Lounge on North Liberty Street. Authorities obtained a search warrant after receiving community complaints about alleged illegal activity at the business.
The operation resulted in multiple items being seized, including drugs and firearms, and several arrests. State officials said the investigation involved ALE and local law enforcement.
The case remains a notable Triad public-safety development because it followed complaints from people in the surrounding community. Charges are allegations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
