Verizon says a service disruption that affected voice calls for some wireless customers on Saturday has been resolved.
Outage reports increased during the afternoon and evening as customers in multiple parts of the United States reported difficulty making or receiving calls. Downdetector recorded more than 13,000 reports at the peak of the disruption, according to current outage coverage.
North Carolina customers were among those reporting problems. WRAL reported hearing from a Verizon customer in Nashville, North Carolina, who said his phone service was affected.
By early Sunday, Verizon said the issue affecting voice service had been resolved. Customers who continue to experience service problems can check their local network status through Verizon support.
