Duke Lineman Micah Sahakian Nominated for AFCA Good Works Team

Duke graduate offensive lineman Micah Sahakian has been nominated for the 2026 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, an honor recognizing college football players for community service, academic achievement and leadership.

Sahakian is one of 175 student-athletes nominated nationwide. The final Good Works Team, scheduled to be announced in September, will include 22 student-athletes and an honorary head coach.

His service work has included multiple trips to Lebanon supporting refugees and families through Living With Power, along with volunteer efforts at Duke Children’s Hospital, New Hope Elementary School and the Emily K Center.

On the field, Sahakian is expected to compete for a starting role on Duke’s offensive line after injuries limited his availability over the previous two seasons. He previously earned All-Ivy League honors at Cornell before transferring to Duke.
