DURHAM, N.C. — Duke men’s basketball has finalized a challenging 14-game nonconference schedule for the 2026-27 season, setting up a series of high-profile tests before and during ACC play.

The Blue Devils announced the completed slate Friday, Aug. 7. Duke opens the regular season at Cameron Indoor Stadium against Army on Nov. 2 and Coastal Carolina on Nov. 5 before heading to Chicago to face Michigan State in the Champions Classic on Nov. 10.

Other marquee matchups include Illinois at Cameron Indoor Stadium on Nov. 17, Washington State in Palm Desert, California, on Nov. 21, and UConn in Las Vegas on Nov. 25. Duke will visit Florida on Dec. 1 in the ACC/SEC Challenge and play Georgia at Madison Square Garden on Dec. 8.

The schedule also sends Duke back to Madison Square Garden for a Dec. 21 meeting with Texas Tech. The Blue Devils’ final nonconference game comes later in the season, when they face Gonzaga on Feb. 20 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.

Six of Duke’s nonconference opponents earned a No. 5 seed or better in the 2026 NCAA Tournament and finished in the final Associated Press Top 25, according to Duke Athletics.

Jon Scheyer’s team is coming off a 35-3 season and returns several key contributors, including Cayden Boozer, Caleb Foster, Patrick Ngongba II and Dame Sarr. Duke also added three transfers and another highly rated recruiting class as it prepares for the new season.

The Blue Devils’ ACC schedule includes home-and-away games with North Carolina and Virginia, with a road trip to Wake Forest also on the conference slate. The 2027 ACC Tournament is scheduled for March 9-13 at First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro.
