Wake Forest DB Davaughn Patterson Named to Senior Bowl Watch List

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Wake Forest defensive back Davaughn Patterson has been named to the 2027 Panini Senior Bowl Watch List, giving the Demon Deacons another veteran defender drawing national preseason attention.

Patterson earned honorable mention All-ACC recognition in 2025 after starting all 13 games and recording 80 tackles, including 35 solo stops. He also broke up nine passes, made four tackles for loss and forced a fumble. His nine passes defended led Wake Forest and ranked sixth in the ACC.

One of Patterson’s biggest games came in Wake Forest’s win over SMU, when he led the team with seven tackles, three pass breakups and a forced fumble. He was named ACC Defensive Back of the Week and landed on Pro Football Focus’ Team of the Week for that performance.

The Jacksonville, Florida, native enters the 2026 season with 163 career tackles, 12 passes defended, two forced fumbles and an interception across 29 games. The Senior Bowl watch list identifies prospects being evaluated for the annual all-star showcase in Mobile, Alabama.
