Winston-Salem Hosts “Never Walk Alone” Addiction Awareness Event Saturday

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and community partners will host the 2026 “Never Walk Alone” addiction awareness event Saturday at Corpening Plaza.

The free, family-friendly event runs from noon to 3 p.m. Organizers say the goal is to educate the community about substance use disorders, connect people with available support and resources, and celebrate people in recovery.

The event returns to Corpening Plaza this year and is expected to include live entertainment, food trucks and participating community organizations. The Winston-Salem Police Department, City of Winston-Salem and other local partners are listed among the participating groups.

Corpening Plaza is located at 231 W. First St. in downtown Winston-Salem.
