Wake Forest's Gabe Kirschke Named Campbell Trophy Semifinalist

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Wake Forest defensive lineman Gabe Kirschke has been named a semifinalist for the 2026 William V. Campbell Trophy.

The National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame announced the semifinalists Wednesday. Kirschke is one of 206 players selected across the NCAA and NAIA.

The redshirt senior has totaled 49 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss and six sacks during his time at Wake Forest. He is also pursuing a bachelor's degree in Communication.

The award recognizes academic success, football performance and leadership. The NFF plans to announce 12 to 16 finalists Oct. 21.
