GREENSBORO, N.C. — North Carolina A&T continued its home-field turnaround Saturday, defeating Chicago State 27-12 at Truist Stadium and recording its third consecutive home victory. The Aggies improved to 3-5 overall and won back-to-back games for the first time since the 2022 season.

A&T established control early, leading 10-0 after the opening quarter and 24-0 at halftime. The Aggies added a third-quarter field goal to stretch the advantage to 27-0 before Chicago State scored twice in the final period. The decisive first three quarters left the visitors with too much ground to recover.

Quarterback Kevin White passed for 199 yards. J.T. Smith caught a 22-yard touchdown pass from White early in the first quarter, and kicker Asher Holland added a 42-yard field goal shortly afterward. The official box score shows the Aggies outscored Chicago State 14-0 in the second period, creating the separation that carried through the finish.

The defense was central to the result. Senior Jonathan Kimbrough-Campbell registered 11 tackles and an interception, while sophomore Tyrek Brown recorded four tackles for loss. A&T produced 10 tackles for loss and intercepted two passes overall. Chicago State had managed only 151 offensive yards entering the fourth quarter.

The three-game home winning streak is the program's first since 2022, when A&T went unbeaten in six home games. The latest result is especially meaningful given the program's four total wins over the previous three seasons. The Aggies now turn toward a homecoming matchup with Elon, looking to build on a stretch of improved play in Greensboro.
