HIGH POINT, N.C. — High Point and UNC Greensboro played to a 1-1 draw in the Triad Derby Tuesday night at Vert Stadium, with Prosper Adagani answering an early Spartans goal to preserve the Panthers' lengthy unbeaten run. The result extended High Point's home unbeaten streak to 18 matches and its overall unbeaten streak to nine.
UNCG struck in the third minute when Keaviano Francis scored his seventh goal of the season, converting a cross from Trym Linberg. High Point settled into the game and leveled in the 25th minute. Noah Behrmann sent a cross into the area, and Adagani headed home his eighth goal of the season. It was Adagani's third goal in two games, and Behrmann's 10th assist of the year.
The draw left High Point at 10-3-2 overall and 5-0 in Big South play, while UNCG moved to 5-2-6 and 2-0-1 in the Southern Conference. The teams were meeting in a nonconference rivalry match, so their conference records were unaffected.
High Point controlled much of the attacking play, finishing with 15 shots to UNCG's five and four shots on goal to the Spartans' two. The Panthers also won the corner-kick count 4-2. Despite that advantage, a second goal never came.
One of the clearest opportunities arrived in the 69th minute. Daniel Lugo helped set up Alfred Baafi, whose attempt struck the left post, and Adagani's follow-up was blocked by the goalkeeper. The sequence captured High Point's frustration on a night when it generated chances but could not find a winner.
The Panthers have not lost at Vert Stadium since November 16, 2024, and their nine-match unbeaten stretch ranks among the longer active runs in Division I. The team will return to conference play Saturday, October 24, when Radford visits for Senior Night at 7 p.m.
