Free Blacksmith Demonstration Set for Today at High Point Museum

HIGH POINT, N.C. — High Point Museum is offering a free blacksmith demonstration today, Saturday, Aug. 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The city calendar says a costumed blacksmith will work inside the museum’s Blacksmith Shop and demonstrate how different iron pieces are crafted. The drop-in program is open to all ages.

The museum is also hosting a sensory-friendly crayon bookmark craft in the Little Red Schoolhouse from 10 a.m. to noon.

The events provide a low-cost local option for families looking for something to do in High Point this weekend.
