High Point Men's Basketball Opens Big South Play Jan. 3 Against USC Upstate

HIGH POINT, N.C. — High Point University men's basketball now knows its path through the 2026-27 Big South Conference season.

The Big South released its league schedule Wednesday, with the Panthers set to play each of the conference's other eight teams twice during January and February. High Point opens conference play Jan. 3 at the Qubein Center against USC Upstate.

The schedule follows a historic 2025-26 season in which High Point finished 31-5, won a second straight Big South Tournament championship and earned the program's first NCAA Tournament victory by upsetting fifth-seeded Wisconsin 83-82.

HPU's conference slate concludes Feb. 27 at home against Radford. The Big South Championships are scheduled for March 3 and March 5-7 in Johnson City, Tennessee.

Before the regular season, High Point is scheduled to host UNCW in an exhibition Oct. 17 at the Qubein Center.
