Guilford County has reopened applications for Community-Based Organization funding for fiscal year 2027, and organizations that want to be considered must submit a new application even if they applied earlier in the process.

The competitive program supports nonprofit organizations providing services that the county considers economically, culturally or civically valuable. Applicants should be organized as a 501(c) nonprofit, registered with the North Carolina Secretary of State, and either maintain an office in Guilford County or primarily serve Guilford County residents.

The revised application window opened Sept. 4 and runs through 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5. Guilford County will also hold a virtual information session at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9 to review the funding timeline, application and contract template, along with changes from the original FY27 application process.

The county says a recording of the information session will be made available online. Organizations seeking funding can find the application and additional details through Guilford County's Community-Based Organizations page.
