GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro Pride marked a milestone Saturday, celebrating its 20th anniversary with the event’s first locally organized Pride parade through downtown Greensboro.

The parade stepped off at 10 a.m. along Elm Street and led into the annual Greensboro Pride Festival, which runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in and around LeBauer Park.

Organizer IMPAQT GSO describes the parade as a community-powered celebration featuring organizations, nonprofits, businesses, marching bands, performers and community leaders. The festival includes vendors, food trucks, entertainment and family-focused areas.

The 2026 celebration marks two decades since the local Pride festival began in Greensboro. Organizers say the anniversary event is designed to highlight visibility, community and the growth of the celebration across the Triad.

The parade and festival are free and open to the public.
