GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Greensboro Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization is asking residents to review and comment on its Draft Fiscal Year 2027 Program of Projects, which outlines planned federal transit grant applications across the Triad.

The draft includes projects involving Greensboro Transit Agency, Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation and Guilford County Transportation and Mobility Services. Planned uses cover fixed-route bus operations, paratransit for seniors and riders with disabilities, and facility improvements. One of the listed facility priorities is renovation work at the J. Douglas Galyon Depot in downtown Greensboro.

The 2027 federal fiscal year runs from Oct. 1, 2026, through Sept. 30, 2027. Public comment on the draft remains open through Wednesday, Sept. 23.

Residents can review the proposal through the Greensboro Urban Area MPO and submit comments during the public-comment period. The feedback will become part of the regional transit funding process before final grant applications move forward.
