Forsyth County Child Support Services collected $22,008,252 for local families during the last fiscal year, according to Forsyth County officials.

The total represented 101.87% of the agency's annual goal and ranked Forsyth County fifth in North Carolina for total child support collections. The division helps locate non-custodial parents, establish paternity, obtain court-ordered support and enforce existing child support orders.

County officials recognized employees during an August 20 Child Support Awareness Month event. Bonnie Reynolds was honored for the highest total collections at more than $1.3 million, while other staff members were recognized for achievements involving arrears payments, paternity establishment and support orders.

Forsyth County also received $505,611 in Child Support Incentive Funds, which the county says are reinvested into service delivery and outreach efforts.
