GREENSBORO, N.C. — A roughly two-month water-line rehabilitation project will bring recurring lane closures and delays to Fernwood Drive beginning Monday, Aug. 31.
The City of Greensboro says Fernwood Drive between North Elam Avenue and Battleground Avenue will experience occasional closures from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily through Oct. 26 while crews complete water-line work. Signs and traffic cones will be placed in the work area.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible. The city notes that work dates and hours may change because of weather or other last-minute scheduling changes.
The project is part of Greensboro’s ongoing Water Rehabilitation Program, which is funded through water and sewer utility payments. The city also notes that nearby Fortune Lane and Albright Drive are already part of an existing work project.
