Dean Smith Reaches 50 Wins as Charlotte FC Head Coach

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Dean Smith has reached another milestone in his third season leading Charlotte FC.

The Crown's 2-1 victory over D.C. United on Sept. 19 was Smith's 50th win in all competitions as Charlotte's head coach. He reached the mark in 112 matches.

Charlotte FC says Smith has built a 45-31-18 MLS record over his first three seasons, placing him among the league's most successful coaches over their first three years.

Smith's first Charlotte victory came Feb. 24, 2024, when the Crown defeated New York City FC 1-0 at Bank of America Stadium in front of more than 62,000 fans.
