CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte FC turned a two-goal deficit into a dramatic 3-2 victory over FC Dallas on Saturday night at Bank of America Stadium, scoring three times in the final 26 minutes of regulation and stoppage time. Forward Idan Toklomati supplied two of the goals, including the decisive finish in second-half stoppage time, as the home side secured three important points in its push toward the Major League Soccer postseason.

For much of the match, the night appeared to be heading in the opposite direction. Dallas scored twice and held a 2-0 advantage with roughly 26 minutes remaining. Charlotte had created early pressure but struggled to convert its opportunities. The club’s own account described blocked attempts from David Schnegg and Ashley Westwood, while Pep Biel and Allan Saint-Maximin helped generate attacking chances before the comeback finally began.

The breakthrough shifted the mood at Bank of America Stadium. Charlotte’s attack continued to press as Dallas tried to protect its lead, and Toklomati ultimately delivered the match-winning goal in the second minute of stoppage time. His late finish completed a turnaround that would have been difficult to imagine when Charlotte trailed by two goals deep into the second half.

The result carried immediate significance in the Eastern Conference playoff race. Charlotte improved to 13-8-7 and 46 points, according to the FC Dallas match report. Dallas dropped to 13-7-8 with 47 points and saw a six-game unbeaten streak come to an end. The victory gave Charlotte momentum during the closing stretch of the regular season, when individual results can affect postseason qualification and seeding.

Dallas had noteworthy individual performances despite the loss. Petar Musa scored his 19th goal of the season, setting a club single-season record and keeping him among the league’s leading scorers. Logan Farrington scored his 10th goal of the year. Dallas noted that it was the first time since 2022 that two of its players had reached double figures in a season.

Charlotte coach Dean Smith credited his players’ determination after the match, saying the group showed character in responding to Dallas’s second goal. The comeback underscored both the attacking options available to Charlotte and the defensive risks the club must manage as the season tightens.

Charlotte’s next task is to carry that urgency into the remaining league schedule. Saturday’s win was not simply an entertaining home result: it was a tangible swing in a closely contested postseason race and another late-game moment for Toklomati.
