GREENSBORO, N.C. — North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement and Greensboro Police say a months-long investigation into alleged drug sales and other criminal activity at two Greensboro businesses has led to multiple arrests.
ALE said the investigation began in July after complaints involving Bar Latino on West Meadowview Road and an illegal nightclub on West Gate Boulevard. Undercover agents reported making controlled purchases during the investigation.
Search warrants were executed Sept. 5 at both Greensboro locations and at a Browns Summit residence. ALE said officers seized controlled substances, firearms and alcohol during the operation.
The North Carolina ABC Commission suspended Bar Latino’s permits after receiving ALE’s initial investigative reports. Several people face criminal charges stemming from the investigation. Those charges are allegations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
ALE and Greensboro Police conducted the investigation jointly.
