Twin City Thunderbirds Hockey Takes Flight On TTN

Triad Talk Network is proud to partner with the Twin City Thunderbirds, giving hockey fans throughout the Piedmont Triad a place to watch, listen and stay connected to the team all season long.

Through TTN, fans can watch or listen to every Thunderbirds game, whether the team is defending its home ice in Winston-Salem or competing on the road. From the opening faceoff to the final horn, TTN will help make sure the Flock never have to miss the action.

The partnership also includes the Beck & Boots Coaches Show, bringing fans closer to the Thunderbirds with conversations about the team, its players and the latest developments surrounding the season.

Professional hockey has a long history in Winston-Salem, dating back to the arrival of the Winston-Salem Polar Twins in 1973. Today’s franchise began playing in 2017 and adopted the Twin City Thunderbirds name in 2025 as part of a new era for professional hockey in the community.

The Thunderbirds have already added a championship chapter to that history, capturing the Federal Prospects Hockey League’s Commissioner’s Cup during the 2018–19 season.

Home games are played at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds Arena, where more than 3,000 fans can experience the speed, physicality and excitement of professional hockey in an intimate, close-to-the-ice setting.

For fans who cannot be inside the arena—or who want to follow the team on the road—TTN will provide another way to be part of every game.

The Thunderbirds page on the TTN website will serve as a central destination for live video and audio broadcasts, the team schedule, game coverage and episodes of the Beck & Boots Coaches Show.

This partnership brings together two organizations committed to Winston-Salem, the Triad and the fans who make local sports special.

Every game. Every goal. One home for the Flock—TTN.
